Brand Identity & Volunteer Handbook Design for Manchester Museum
The brief
Manchester Museum asked me to design a brand identity for their Volunteer programme — a visual system that felt professional and authoritative while still being warm and inviting to applicants. The identity needed to work across recruitment marketing, printed collateral and on-site signage inside one of the UK's most-visited cultural institutions.
Alongside the identity, I designed the Manchester Museum Volunteer Handbook — a comprehensive 40-page resource given to every successful applicant. The handbook needed to streamline the onboarding process, set clear expectations for volunteer roles and responsibilities, and reflect the Museum's considered, craft-led brand.
The outcome
A cohesive identity and editorial system rolled out across print collateral and internal communications — helping the Volunteer programme attract and onboard its strongest cohort to date.
